I remember sitting on the steps of the Pantheon around 1998. It was evening. Our first and only trip to Rome. I remember motorcycles everywhere!! Around the Pantheon were horse drawn carriages for tourists.
I do remember sitting alone on the steps but hubby was staying close but not really beside me. Along comes this man who very nicely asked me to join him.
I politely said no thanks. Hubby was watching me making sure I was okay.
Strange but beautiful in a way. A lovely night. Lots of tourists.
And inside the Pantheon was truly indescribable. Always wondered what happened when it rained through the hole in the ceiling!
