Setting Women Free Beyond the English-Speaking World
The Making of Biblical Womanhood Is Now Available in Spanish, too
I’m grateful for good news this week, so I thought I would share it with you, too.
Following translations in Portuguese and Korean, The Making of Biblical Womanhood has now been translated into Spanish—thanks to a collaboration with Editorial CLIE, a respected publisher in the Protestant world that’s celebrating 100 years in 2024 of sharing theology with the Spanish-speaking world.
The Spanish translation can be found on Amazon here or directly from the publisher's website here, with the title La construcción de la feminidad bÃblica: Cómo se convirtió la subyugación de las mujeres en doctrina cristiana
I am grateful for all my readers as it is your support that has made this Spanish edition possible. When I signed the publishing contract way back in 2019, I never dreamed how far The Making of Biblical Womanhood would travel. My prayer is that it will reach and inspire a new audience of Spanish-speaking readers even as it continues set women free in North America.
I welcome you to follow my insta for updates about forthcoming interviews (including the first one tomorrow in Spain).
Also, thank you for your continued support of my substack. I confess I have poured so much into finishing Becoming the Pastor’s Wife that additional writing has been challenging. But I have more good news coming soon as pre-orders are right around the corner. I also have a few more things to say about the SBC, Canadian Baptists, and some of my favorite books and podcasts—as well as upcoming events for next year (including one of my favorite medievalists who will be coming for a public lecture at Baylor in August).
Be free!

So grateful for this important work to be available for our sisters in the Spanish and Portuguese speaking communities! I have been privileged to spend some time in Brazilian churches yearly , praying with women and walking with them through healing of trauma. I will be returning again in December. Thank you for the important validation of the truth.
