Thank you for sharing this... my eyes and heart are full of gratitude for your son’s safety and your willingness to speak truth as a woman of God. You answer to God, not to some acronym’d council.♥️

Beautiful reflection; how right you are that the opinions of others matter so little when compared with the safety and health of our loved ones. Wishing you many, many more meals with four plates.

So very, very thankful there are still four plates. Life can be very fragile.

four plates

Last night 7 women sat around my dining room table. Sal asked me "what did you do today?" Later in the conversation she began talking about this curiosity she has about the ordinary. Four plates. How she forms questions about the usually unnoticed because of the story underneath. The God miracles that go unrecognized. The thanksgiving prayers that won't get said. Your seeing four plates is powerful. Thank you for giving us your heart today.

So glad your son is ok! And you’re right, a desire for women to be free to be fully human doesn’t mean we can’t be maternal as well. I’m in my last year of my MDiv and have four sons. Crazy to think that blows people’s minds.

Wow. I'm so thankful. I will pray for your son to recover and find good trauma counseling or any physical help he needs, too. All of you as well. That is traumatic. But, that you were able to see this message for you and share it with us--thank you for that, as well.

That was utterly lovely. I'm so grateful your son is safe, and so is the other driver. I think your way with words, the God-given power and beauty of your expression, and the clarity of your thought enlightened by faith, explain why those devoted to perpetuating falsehoods find you so threatening.

Thankful to God for protecting your son and your family and the other driver too. And thankful for your embodiment of a mother who loves her children deeply and a feminist who loves Christ, the Bible and the Church deeply too.

When my daughter was a high school senior she was in a car accident just like your son, flipped car upside down, the works. And she walked away as well, so I understand this deeply as a mom.
