Great article! I have also argued that the pro-life movement does not extend to life beyond birth. It’s obvious by the lack of support for childcare, Headstart and other early childhood programs. But it goes further when you look at the racial disparities of the “value” assigned to a life in America. For instance, where are pro-life advocates intersecting the pipeline to prison? Where were they during Black Lives Matter? Where are they against police violence and safe gun laws? And the racial disparities with healthcare throughout life for people of color beyond giving birth. A true pro-life movement/stance would take all these -and more- into consideration.
